ZUHAUSE IST KEIN ORT - Clara Trischler, AT/DE 2015 (14 Minutes)
HOME IS NOT A PLACE tells the story of a small Slovakian family that lives in Kenya and Bangladesh during the turmoil of the Prague Spring in the 1960s and 70s. Eventually they have to choose between a life in freedom and a reunion with family members that were left behind.
DIE BADEWANNE - Tim Ellrich, AT/DE 2015 (13 Minutes)
The brothers Georg, Alexander and Niklas are trying to prepare a unique present for their mother. However, the eldest disapproves of the idea of re-enacting an old bathtub picture from their childhood. Little by little, they start to bare all, and what remains are three brothers that have grown apart.
PITTER PATTER GOES MY HEART - Christoph Rainer, AT/DE/US 2015 (21 Minutes)
The hopelessly romantic Lisa takes drastic measures to win back her former lover. But the fact that he already has a new woman at his side and that Lisa needs to bring her alcoholic father to an anti-varicose-vein photo shooting, without informing him about this, is not particularly helpful.
WALD DER ECHOS - Luz Olivares Capelle, AT 2016 (30 Minutes)
A teenager, Christina, loses sight of her friends in the forest. While looking for them, she finds the bodies of three drowned girls lying motionless on the banks of a lagoon. On a summer holiday, deep in the woods, three children, cousins playing around a lake, when they discover a young drowned woman drifting in the water. Games, lies and rituals unfolding into a circular time frame where even death loses its ultimacy. What is real and what is a mirage? Who is dreaming and who is being dreamt of?
